Nicolás Rebolo Ifrán
Argentine nature photographer behind Nico Rebolo.
I was born in 1992 in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and currently live in the Arctic city of Tromsø, Norway, where I work as a photographer and Northern Lights guide.
Ever since I was a child, I would look at maps and wonder what those distant, unknown places that sparked my imagination were like. Today, I am fortunate enough to explore them and capture them through my camera, transforming those experiences into images.
As a teenager, I explored various forms of artistic expression, such as making wooden instruments, painting murals, and recording music, among other things, always driven by the need to create.
During those years, my connection with nature began to take shape in Argentine Patagonia, alongside my family. There, I began to feel a deeper connection with the natural world; I came to understand the importance of exposing myself to the elements and facing those discomforts that, for the most part, we no longer experience in modern life.
In 2017, I embarked on a journey that took me through various countries in the Americas and Europe. During that trip, photography began to play an increasingly important role in my life, and over time, it ignited a passion that inspired me to continue growing and to view the world with an ever more conscious and creative eye.
As an aurora guide, I enjoy helping people not only in their quest to capture a photo, but also in their connection with the natural world: understanding the weather, learning from the wait, and living in the moment with full presence.
